Terms and Conditions
Last updated July 29, 2026.
By registering a team on the AetherGuard CTF platform you agree to the terms below. These apply to ctf.aetherguard.xyz and its challenges for the duration of the event.
Scope of testing
You may only attack the challenge targets provided to you through this platform. Attempting to access, disrupt, or test any other AetherGuard system, any other team's infrastructure, or anything not explicitly listed as a challenge target is out of scope and will get your team banned and reported.
Fair play
Not allowed, at any point during the event:
- Sharing flags with, or receiving flags from, another team
- Attacking the platform itself rather than the intended challenges, including denial of service against the site, the leaderboard, or other teams
- Automated brute forcing of flags beyond what a challenge's own hint explicitly invites
- Registering more than one team per person to gain an advantage
- Any attempt to access another team's account or data
We log submission history and IP addresses specifically to catch and investigate this kind of behavior. Organizers can ban a team at any time, with or without warning, for violating these terms.
Scoring and disputes
Points are awarded automatically when a correct flag is submitted. Ties are broken by whichever team reached that point total first. Organizers have final say on any scoring dispute and may adjust points, remove a solve, or void a challenge if something was broken or unfair.
Availability
This is a community event, not a paid service. We aim to keep the platform and challenges available for the whole event, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, and we are not liable for lost progress caused by an outage.
Changes
We may update these terms during an event if a rule turns out to be unclear. Meaningful changes will be posted as an announcement on the site.

Questions or reports of rule violations can go to your event organizers at AetherGuard Technologies.
